Heavy, larger than I thought it would be, authentic looking, and it retains heat very well. This cost a lot less than the ones I've seen at the fancy mall tea stores, and I like it better.

A nice sturdy little tea pot. You could definitely crack a skull or two with it in a zombie apocalypse. Make sure you keep it dry and coat it with a oil to keep rust demons at bay. I little on the heavy side so you get the benefit of some muscle tone-age when you drink tea.

Just love it. I am having a Japanese open fire pit made for my patio. The "irori" will have a thick bamboo with brass unit that will be suspended from the ceiling to hang Japanese cast iron pots, etc. over the fire pit. I will hang the Saga Teapot from the bamboo which will give me the feel of being in Japan.

This is a very nice sized tea pot, which does make it a bit heavy. I like the interior lining! No rust, no altering the taste of the tea.

Love! Love! Love! this tea pot. It is heavy as some said, However I cook with cast iron all the time so this is not a issue with me. The lid is a little loose but at this point I do not see this as a problem. The 52 ounces is terrific. I can make a pot and have 4 great mugs of tea in the afternoon. Because it is cast iron tucked in my tea cozy it is VERY warm to the last drop. I have had the pot for about 4 weeks and every day I tell the tea pot how much I love it. The price can not be beat I saw the same pot in a locale tea shop fore four time the price. You can not go wrong.

tbh this is one of the best things I have ever purchased I went to teavana the day before I ordered this to get a glass tea pot because the cast iron ones were SO EXPENSIVE! it only being 24 oz and thin and light costing me about 45$ wasn't okay at all. so I wanted to invest in this. I did research and found this one and I love it, the day after I ordered I saw the same cast iron pot at teavana for almost 200$!!

I love this little teapot! This particular cast iron model works well on electric, gas, and induction heating elements, since it does not have the colored glaze that others made by this company do. It heats quickly due to its small footprint, but also retains heat for quite a while. The basket is quite large, giving plenty of room for the loose tea leaves to expand and steep. The ceramic coating on the inside makes it very easy to clean, although I suggest keeping the outside protected with a very light polish of vegetable oil (as you would with any other cast iron pot). I highly recommend this particular model due to its size (about 2.5 cups of tea, based on my medium sized mug), and due to its superb functionality on all three types of heat.

I wanted the larger size teapot as I drink green tea all day. This one is the right size for me (several cups of tea) and is very cute.
It is heavy but not too heavy. I would like to get a stand to keep it warm. And the price is great!
